Only Female Leader at the Table.

I feel I am not alone. Now I have a sounding board I can freely bounce off my ideas, without the fear of being judged. This is my safe space to be vulnerable & discuss topics such as mental health, imposter syndrome, leading multiracial teams. The experiences & coaching left a big mark on me. My board consistently pushed me to pursue my goals. It's a wonderful group who are with me to celebrate my highs and support me through my lows.

Balancing Work and Health.

One of my primary goals was to focus on my health. The wellbeing session with experts and discussions with my board put me on a journey of self-acceptance and healing. I value self-care and am not afraid to say 'NO' to ensure my well-being. I took up weight lifting and my board helped me stay accountable to my goals. And finally, I took my first ever solo holiday to come back refreshed and recharged.

Giving Back. Plan the Next Phase.

I became a “Champion of Change” hosting master-classes for young women & inspiring them to dream. We touched so many lives. Power Women has been an excellent platform for connecting to successful, driven women and opening up new opportunities. I became a mentor at a Global Accelerator, was exposed to exciting companies and a stellar network of mentors, and am now closing a board role I received through Power Women.

Finding it hard to Balance.

Speaking to other women going through this dilemma helped me navigate through this phase of life. It felt comforting to know that I wasn’t the only one feeling this way. Sharing tips and tricks and how our days looked helped me feel plan better. I started taking time for myself and focused on spending quality time with my daughter. My board became my happy place and stress reliever during this phase.

Transitioning into a New Role.

The coaching experience coupled with advice from my board set me up for success. Connecting with other leaders helped me identify my own blind spots, bring my authentic self to the table & tackle difficult conversations. I have met women from diverse industries and geographies and their perspectives & stories have inspired me to be a more empathetic and effective leader.
